Falls Church Schools Rank Best In Virginia For Second Year In A Row
Falls Church City Public Schools was named the best public school division in Virginia for the second year in a row, according to Niche.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Falls Church City Public Schools was named the best public school district in Virginia for the 2021-22 school year, the second year in a row that Falls Church has claimed the top spot in the state, according to a new ranking by Niche.
Each school district received an overall letter grade as well as a letter grade in the following categories: academics; diversity; teachers; college prep; clubs & activities; health & safety; administration; sports; food; and resources & facilities. (You can read more about the methodology here.)
The Falls Church City school system received an A+ overall grade. Among the categories, the city received A+ grades from Niche in academics and college prep, A grades in teachers and sports, and A- grades in administration and health & safety. The school system received B grades in Diversity, Clubs & Activities, and Resources and Facilities. Falls Church received a C+ for food.

With a student enrollment of more than 2,600, Falls Church City Public Schools has one preschool, two elementary schools, one middle school and one high school.
Among other school districts in Northern Virginia, Arlington Public Schools ranked second in the state, followed by Loudoun County Public Schools in fifth and Fairfax County Public Schools in the sixth spot.

This is the eighth year in a row that Niche, a platform connecting students and their families with schools and colleges, has released its rankings of K-12 schools and districts nationwide.
For its 2022 rankings, Niche evaluated 94,491 public schools, 2,489 private schools, and 11,846 school districts across the country. The company relied on input from students, alumni and parents as well as U.S. Department of Education data to come up with its rankings.

Meridian High School, formerly known as George Mason High School, ranked as the 22nd best high school in Virginia. Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School ranked as the 10th best middle school in the state, according to Niche.
