Falls Church Restaurant Owner Strikes Twice In Lottery

He won a lottery prize again after buying a ticket at the same Falls Church location as before.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—What's the chance of winning the lottery not once but twice within a few months? That was the case for a Falls Church businessman.

Hussein Haj-Assaad of Annandale recently won a top prize of $250,000 for the Money Mania game just five months after scoring $200,000 in the lottery. He owns Raouche Cafe, a casual Lebanese dining spot in Falls Church.

The first time he won, Haj-Assaad said he’d put his winnings into his Falls Church restaurant. Now he's thinking about opening another restaurant.

He bought the winning ticket at E&C VA, 2919 Gallows Road in Falls Church, which is also where he bought the previous winning ticket. Nine more top prizes for this ticket remain unclaimed after Haj-Assad won.

Whatever good luck this man has, here's to hoping it rubs off on the rest of us.
