Falls Church Schools Make Weather Decision For Dec. 15

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Falls Church City Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Thursday due to inclement weather starting overnight.

Day care will open at 9 a.m. with no drop-ins. If any updates should occur Thursday morning, check www.fccps.org.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Northern Virginia region. The advisory begins at 1 a.m. Thursday and will continue until 1 p.m. in Falls Church. Freezing rain is expected with accumulation between a glaze and one-tenth of an inch. Forecasters believe the Thursday morning commute will have hazardous conditions.
