Falls Church VFW Post Welcomes Public To Veterans Day Open House
Falls Church VFW Post 9274 is holding a Veterans Day open house, an event where the public can honor veterans and enjoy food and drinks.
FALLS CHURCH, VA — Falls Church VFW Post 9274 is hosting a Veterans Day open house on Thursday, an event where the public can honor veterans in the local community and learn more about the Post.
The open house, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 11, represents the Post’s last BBQ of the year and will include networking and games. The public is invited to socialize as well as enjoy food and drinks.
VFW Post 9274, located at 7118 Shreve Road in Falls Church, is among the younger VFW posts. More than 30 percent of the members and leadership team served in Iraq and Afghanistan or other recent military engagements.

The Post regularly hosts fundraisers benefiting charities, including a recent fundraising event where it collected more than 6,000 pounds of donations, including clothing, hygiene products, blankets and baby supplies, for use by refugees from Afghanistan.
