1 Evaluated After Falls Church Fire On Washington Street

Northbound Washington Street has reopened after the fire department response.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—One person was evaluated after a blaze on Washington Street in Falls Church Friday afternoon.

The fire was reported at a four-story residential building at 450 Washington Street, which is located over a commercial building. The fire broke out in a residential kitchen. Units have put out the fire and ventilated the building according to the Arlington County Fire Department.

A resident was treated for minor injuries on the scene.

The City of Falls Church reported that northbound Washington Street was reopened from East Columbia Street to East Jefferson Street as of 5:30 p.m. Southbound lanes opened as of 5 p.m. Residual delays could continue.
