Fire Damages 12 Units At West Falls Church Apartment Complex

WEST FALLS CHURCH, VA — Twelve units were damaged Sunday by a two-alarm fire at the Fairfield Crossing Apartments in West Falls Church on Sunday afternoon, according to posts on Fairfax County Fire & Rescue's official Twitter account.

County fire units responded for the report of a fire in an apartment building 2900 block of Dover Lane. Firefighters called in a second alarm, which brought other units to the scene for assistance. They included units from the Fairfax City Fire Department.

By 3:23 p.m., the bulk of the fire had been extinguished and crews were hitting hot spots.
