FALLS CHURCH, VA — Students headed back to school at Falls Church City Public Schools Monday, joining others in the region who started the school year in the last week.

A tradition for some families is taking a photo on the first day of school each year and comparing them from kindergarten to 12th grade. We want to see your first day photos from schools in Falls Church (including Fairfax County).

Send your photo submissions with your student's name, school and grade to Emily.Leayman@patch.com. Please only share photos you took. By sharing photos, you are giving Patch permission to publish your photos in our first day of school coverage.
