Free Comic Book Day: Two Falls Church Stores Participate

Two Falls Church shops are offering at least one free comic to visitors for the annual event.

FALLS CHURCH, VA -- Whether you're a die-hard comic book fan or want to learn more while scoring a freebie, Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, May 6. In Falls Church, Hole in the Wall Books at 905 West Broad Street and Victory Comics at 586 South Washington Street, Falls Church are participating.

Started in 2002, the event falls on the first Saturday in May every year. The one-day giveaway is meant to introduce newcomers to this distinct style of art and entertainment.

While every store signed up for the event may have its own rules, those who visit a shop on the list will receive “at least one free comic” at participating locations according to the event website. Titles may vary by location.

Aside from the giveaways, Hole in the Wall Books is holding a costume contest for visitors from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
