Goldfish Swim School To Open This Summer in Falls Church
The new location will have an indoor pool built inside a former Rite Aid in a local shopping center.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — The owners of a swim school franchise in Reston are planning to open a second swim school this summer in the Falls Church area, according to the real estate broker that secured the location.
The Goldfish Swim School will open a new indoor pool at The Shops at West Falls Church, 7395 Lee Hwy., Suite K, the Neighborhood Retail Group (NRG) announced earlier this month. The new location will offer swim lessons for children and families, as well as a variety of other services, including space for parties.
Franchise owners Ryan and Gina Bewersdorf operate Goldfish Swim School Reston. To meet the area’s growing demand for quality swim lessons, they decided to open a second location, according to NRG.

“Opening a Goldfish Swim School inside the Beltway was always part of our growth plan,” Ryan Bewersdorf said in an NRG statement. “We are thrilled to provide extraordinary swim lessons in a child-friendly environment to the Falls Church, Arlington, Alexandria and D.C. area.”
The new location is inside a former Rite-Aid drug store. Major renovations were needed "to turn the 9,100-square-foot space into a tropical paradise in which young swimmers will enjoy bright colors, palm trees, a heated pool deck and a 25-yard pool heated to 90 degrees," NRG said.
