Hangry Joe's Brings Its Nashville Hot Chicken To Bailey's Crossroads

BAILEY'S CROSSROADS, VA — Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken, a franchise requiring a waiver for its spiciest chicken level, will open a location in Bailey's Crossroads Saturday.

The location will be at 3525 S. Jefferson Street at the Leesburg Pike Plaza. At the restaurant, customers can order chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, bites, chicken and waffle, Korean chicken nuggets or salad. Chicken is available at a variety of spice levels, from no seasoning to angry hot. For the angry hot level, customers must sign a waiver. Sides like waffle fries, cider slaw, fried okra can be ordered, as well as drinks varying by location.

The franchise was founded by Derek Cha, who also founded Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt in 2009 and other concepts, along with Mike Kim. Hangry Joe's boasts its own secret recipe of Nashville-style hot chicken, a type of chicken usually made with spicy seasonings.

The growing franchise has locations around the DC area, as well as elsewhere in Virginia, two in Texas and one in New Jersey. More locations are expected to open in Virginia and Maryland.
