Holiday Gift Show, Tree Fest Arrive In Falls Church For Weekend

From holiday shopping to a Christmas tree auction, Falls Church will help residents get in the holiday spirit this weekend.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Two holiday events will headline the weekend in the City of Falls Church to kick off December.

Falls Church's Holiday Gift and Craft Show returns on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls Street. This year, admission is free to the event.

Attendees can browse about 40 vendors to find holiday gifts. There will also be a Children's Holiday Shoppe from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday featuring gifts $6 and under with free gift wrapping. The Falls Church City Public School Holiday Chorus will perform at 1 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, the Meridian High School Band will perform at 1 p.m. Sunday and Luca, Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School Guitar Soloist, will perform at 11 a.m. Sunday.

On both days, raffles will be held featuring a variety of items donated by vendors. Raffle tickets are available at the event for $1 each by cash or card.

Along with the craft show, the Falls Church Village Preservation and Improvement Society will bring back its eighth annual Falls Church Tree Fest Friday, Dec. 1 from 5 p.m .to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 2 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. This event features decorated Christmas trees on the patio of Ireland’s Four Provinces Restaurant, 105 West Broad Street. Attendees can bid on a tree, with sales benefiting nonprofits in the greater Falls Church area. There is no admission fee to attend. The last bids will be accepted at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
