Ice-Stravaganza, Chocolate Festival, Shopping: NoVA, DC Weekend Events

VIRGINIA — The first weekend of February brings plenty of fun, from a chocolate festival to Lunar New Year events and an ice sculpting festival.

For ice sculpting and other fun, check out the Reston Town Center Ice-Stravaganza. With the chilly weather, it's an ideal time to get outside and enjoy ice skating at places like Reston Town Center, Washington Harbour in Georgetown and Sculpture Garden near the National Mall.

Shoppers will enjoy the Alexandria Warehouse Sale in Alexandria and Winter Market in Manassas. Some of the major expo events are the Spring Home & Remodeling Show in Fredericksburg and Washington, DC Travel & Adventure Show.

For those with a sweet tooth, the highlight of the weekend is the Fairfax City Chocolate Lovers Festival. Other events with treats include the Galentines Night Out, Embassy Row Valentines Chocolate Tour and Cheesecake & Wine Pairing.

For Lunar New Year festivities, check out the Lunar New Year Celebration at Fashion Centre at Pentagon City in Arlington and Lunar New Year Celebration at Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax.
