Introducing the Hometown Hero Awards!

When people think of heroes a few images come to mind – a cape, the ability to fly, amazing strength, and unparalleled courage. At Innovation Health we’d like to redefine what a hero is by highlighting real-life, unsung heroes from the hometowns we serve.

This May we’ve launched our first annual Hometown Hero awards, an opportunity to show our appreciation for the heroes here in our community! Nominations are now open and you’ll have the chance to submit your own hero here.

What makes a hometown hero?

At Innovation Health we’re proud to recognize the heroes in our community through the Innovation Health Hometown Hero Awards. As a local company, we know the value of being involved in the community. For instance, through events like Read Across America our employees see first-hand the impact we can have by investing in others. We look forward to honoring others in our area who are doing the same!

There are countless people – teachers, caregivers, community advocates and more -- that wake up every day and work to improve the places we live. These heroes make a lasting impact in their community through actions big and small. Now is your chance to show them how much we appreciate their dedication to our community.

How to nominate your hero

Show a local hero your appreciation by completing the nomination form here. Just tell us (in 500 words or less) why they deserve to win an Innovation Health Hometown Hero Award. Nominations are open for individuals living in Falls Church, Alexandria, Arlington, Loudoun, Fairfax, Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg, Stafford and Shenandoah Valley. The deadline to submit your hero is June 9, 2017. Three winners will be announced in July and will receive:

• A $1,000 check from Innovation Health
• Invitation to a recognition ceremony at Redskins Park, hosted by Innovation Health and the Redskins
• Tour of Redskins facility
• An official Redskins Football as a trophy
• Photo opportunity in-front of a Redskins-Innovations video screen
• Dinner at Redskins Park
