John Fogerty is coming to Wolf Trap Tuesday night, presenting “One Extraordinary Year: John Fogerty Performs the Songs of Creedence Clearwater Revival, 1969.”
The songs that Fogerty is expected to play are his huge hits, timeless rock ‘n roll classics, including “Born on the Bayou,” “Travelin’ Band,” “Green River,” “Up Around the Bend,” “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” “Lookin’ Out My Back Door,” “Midnight Special,” “Heard It Through the Grapevine,” “Fortunate Son,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Proud Mary” and more.
Fogerty, a singer/songwriter/guitarist, performed as the leader of the rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival in the late 1960s and early ‘70s from El Cerrito, Calif., in the San Francisco bay area, even though they sounded more like they’d come from the Mississippi Delta.
