Landlord Trying to Evict Gypsy Soul Restaurant at Mosaic: Report

According to the complaint, the landlord wants to take possession of the property immediately, the Post reports.

The owners of the Mosaic District are trying to evict the Gypsy Soul restaurant, saying the restaurant owners owe them more than $250,000, the Washington Post reports.

The Post reports the lawsuit was filed to evict Gypsy Soul, owned by chef R.J. Cooper and his wife Judith Cooper, by Eskridge, a company partly owned by Edens, the developers of Mosaic.

According to the complaint, the landlord wants to take possession of the property immediately, the newspaper reports.

The Facebook page for Gypsy Soul says the restaurant is closed Monday and will reopen Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
