Local Teen Awarded Scholarship to NCAA Div. III University
Falls Church resident, Addie Di Scipio, has signed a formal letter of intent to play women's lacrosse at Roger Williams University.

Adelia (Addie) Di Scipio, an outstanding student-athlete at Commonwealth Academy in Alexandria, has signed a formal letter of intent to play women’s lacrosse at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI next fall. Addie and her parents, Joseph and Peggy Di Scipio, are residents of Falls Church, VA.
Commonwealth Academy recently hosted a special Signing Day Ceremony for Addie, her parents and her high school classmates, to honor her being awarded a Merit Scholarship to a NCAA Division III University and to highlight her many achievements while at Commonwealth. Addie is scheduled to graduate from Commonwealth Academy in June 2017 with an advanced diploma and certificate in STEM-Engineering.
“Addie has been an exemplary student, excelling in both Science and Math. As an athlete, she is a leader by example, never slacking off. While her demeanor is quiet, her heart, passion and competitive drive are what make her so good at lacrosse,” Commonwealth’s Athletic Director, Jeff Brown, said in remarks at the ceremony.
