Looking To Give Back To The Community? Help Us Help Kids
Learn About Assistance League of Northern Virginia At An Informal Information Session

Are you looking for a way to give back to the community? Assistance League of Northern Virginia is always looking for caring people to join its organization and help those most in need. The charity is scheduling a number of information sessions at libraries throughout the area so that interested individuals can learn about its organization and programs. Upcoming sessions are scheduled for the Tysons-Pimmit Library, 7584 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, on Wednesday, April 6, from 1 to 2:30 pm, and the Chantilly Library on Wednesday, March 30, from 11 to 12:30.
Assistance League of Northern Virginia is an all-volunteer nonprofit that has been helping students at 11 Title 1 elementary schools for nearly 20 years. Its programs feed, clothe, and provide literacy support to some of the most vulnerable children. As a member, you can provide hands-on help with the charity’s clothing and literacy programs, attend its monthly packing of Weekend Food for Kids bags, and the periodic workshops to pack essentials like toiletries, Baby Bundles for new mothers, and Hugs comfort pillows for young children.
Assistance League is planning similar information sessions at the Oakton and Kings Park libraries later in April. Email membership@alnv.org to learn about those events. Check www.alnv.org for more information about the organization and the amazing work it does.
