Make Plans for City of Falls Church 4th of July Celebration
Event takes place at George Mason High School.

Start making plans now for the City of Falls Church 4th of July Independence Day Celebration at George Mason High School, 7124 Leesburg Pike.
Music begins Saturday at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 9:20 p.m. Seating is available at Jack Gambill Athletic Fields or the Northern Virginia Graduate Center Parking Lot. In the event of rain, the event is scheduled for Sunday, July 5 at the same time and location.
Spectator seating on the rain date will be available at the high school, but not the Graduate Center parking lot. The event is free to the public. No alcohol, personal fireworks or smoking is permitted on school grounds. Only chairs with flat bases are permitted on the artificial turf field.

Parking will be restricted within City limits near George Mason High School so that emergency vehicles can use residential streets. From 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, the following streets will have parking restricted to one side of the street only:
- Grove Avenue
- Birch Street
- Spruce Street
- Offut Drive
- Falls Avenue
The best ways to get to the high school for the celebration are the West Falls Church Metro or walking. Drivers are reminded to heed towing warnings in shopping centers and business parking lots; towing is usually enforced by the property owners or businesses. Parking also not allowed along Broad Street/Rt. 7/Leesburg Pike, Haycock Road and other major arteries in the area.
