Man Charged With Father's Murder In Idylwood Area
Fairfax County Police say there was a protective order that prohibited the son from contacting his father.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Fairfax County Police made an arrest after a domestic-related homicide in the Idylwood area early Thursday. It was the county's 10th homicide of 2020.
Officers responded around 1 a.m. to a domestic dispute in the 2300 block of Watters Glen Court. Police found Christopher Bellini, 59, suffering from apparent stab wounds. Bellini was pronounced dead on the scene. No one else inside the home was injured.
The victim's son, Alexander Bellini, 28, of Chantilly, was inside the home and taken into custody. Detectives learned that Alexander Bellini was prohibited from contacting his father due to a recent protective order. A knife believed to have been used by Alexander Bellini was recovered from the scene.

Alexander Bellini was charged with second degree murder and violation of a protective order while armed with a deadly weapon. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and is being held without bond.
Victim specialists from our Major Crimes Bureau’s Victim Services Division were assigned to provide resources and assistance to the family. The investigation remains active, and the medical examiner is performing an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
