Man Arrested, Charged With Rape In Falls Church Assault Case
City of Falls Church Police said that Alexander McKnight, 31, was arrested in Maryland on Thursday night.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — A man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault that happened last week in Falls Church, police sad Friday.
City of Falls Church Police said that Alexander McKnight, 31, was arrested in Maryland on Thursday night. McKnight has been charged with rape and malicious wounding, among other charges, police said. He has no fixed address, a news release stated.
Falls Church Police named McKnight as a suspect in the Nov. 10 assault, which happened on West Broad Street.

Detectives identified where McKnight was staying and coordinated his arrest with the Metro Transit Police, the news release said. He was arrested at the Twinbrook Metro Station in Montgomery County, MD, according to police.
Police said McKnight will be transported to Virginia for trial after an initial court hearing in Maryland.
