Morning Fire on Broad Street Causes Nearly $100k in Damages
Firefighters responded Monday morning to a call about a building on fire.

A fire that ripped through a building Monday morning on Broad Street has done nearly $100,000 damage, according to City officials.
At 7:51 a.m. this morning, emergency responders received a call for a building fire at 929 W. Broad Street, according to a news release from the City.
A carpet business was involved, according to a City spokeswoman. The fire was only to their storage building in the back, attached to the main building. The damage was only to their equipment and inventory. No businesses in the main building on W. Broad Street are closed due to the fire.

No injuries were reported, the release noted.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters from both Arlington and Fairfax County, according to the City. City of Falls Church Fire Marshal, Capt. Tom Polera, has ruled the fire to be accidental.
