Multi-Vehicle Crash On I-95, Metro Delay: AM Traffic In NoVA, DC

Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your morning commute on Friday, July 1.
On the Road
As of 7:34 a.m., a crash is causing delays and lane closures on northbound Route 659 in the area of Ashburn Farm Parkway in Loudoun County.

As of 7:24 a.m., a disabled vehicle on eastbound I-66 at mile marker 62 is causing delays in Fairfax County. The east right shoulder is closed.
At 7:18 a.m., a crash was reported on northbound I-95 about 0.1 miles south of Route 123 in Prince William County. No lanes are closed.

As of 7:16 a.m., a disabled vehicle closed the right shoulder on southbound I-95 at the 172.5 mile marker in Fairfax County.
As of 7:14 a.m., a multi-vehicle crash on southbound I-95 about 0.3 miles north of Dumfries Road has closed the south left shoulder and left lane in Prince William County. Backups are around 3.5 miles.
Potential delays on I-66 at the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge will continue until July 3 due to bridge work. The east left lane and west left lane are closed, and Theodore Roosevelt Bridge has weight restrictions of 10 tons.
On the Metro
Metro anticipates residual delays on the Orange Line to Vienna due to an earlier track problem outside Stadium-Armory.
McPherson Square station's Vermont Ave entrance is closed due to a power outage. The 14th & I Street entrance is open.
Through Labor Day, the Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover and New Carrollton are closed on the Orange Line due to the summer improvement project through Labor Day. Shuttle service is available at Stadium-Armory.

No issues reported.
DC Weather
Mostly sunny with a high near 95, then scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly after 5 p.m. Heat index values could be as high as 101. At night, mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms before 5 a.m., then a slight chance of showers. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
