New Business In Town: La Favola Opens In Merrifield

FALLS CHURCH, VA—If you're craving Italian food, there's a new option in town. La Favola is now open at 2727-G Merrilee Drive, Fairfax in the Merrifield area.

Founded by Del Ray's Bon Vivant Café + Farm Market owner Jawad Laouaouda and Chef Marco Tellaki, La Favola offers authentic, handcrafted Italian cuisine. Tellaki brings 20 years of experience, including at restaurants in Monaco and Italy, to La Favola.

The authentic offerings may very well please your grandmother from Italy. The menu offerings range from hand-tossed, Neapolitan-style pizzas to a variety of pastas, fresh seafood, salads and grass-fed and free-range meats. There are also gluten-free pasta and pizza options. Best of all, ingredients like San Marzano tomatoes come straight from from Italy.

The restaurant strives to go beyond the food as well. Diners can watch the magic happen at the pizza bar near the open kitchen.

“Today’s diners crave fresh, high-quality ingredients and a welcoming ambiance,” said Tellaki. “Our goal with La Favola is to offer seasonal menu options that combine my Italian heritage and the farm-fresh ingredients that are plentiful to our area, plus perfectly paired wine and drinks.
