Opening Day Set For New Falls Church Target

The new target at the Lincoln at Tinner Hill mixed-use development is ready to open.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—The new Target store is opening to the public beginning Wednesday, March 7. It will be located at the Lincoln at Tinner Hill mixed-use development, 500 South Washington Street.

The store officially opens at 7 a.m. on March 7. In addition, the public is invited to the grand opening Sunday, March 11 at 8 a.m. The first 1,000 guests will get a reusable bag.

The opening will mark Target's first location in the City of Falls Church. The closest location to Falls Church was 6100 Arlington Blvd in the Seven Corners area of Fairfax County. Target has hired about 35 team members for the new store. It will also award $6,000 in grants to three local nonprofits this month.

Products and services at the new store include grocery items with a focus on fresh produce, grab-and-go items and more; home décor; beauty, health and personal care products; clothing; electronics and entertainment; toys and sporting goods and a CVS Pharmacy. The 26,000-square-foot small-format store will be the fourth of its kind in the D.C. area. The retailer plans to have more than 130 small-format stores by the end of 2019, geared toward urban, suburban and college campus areas.
