Part Of Falls Church Shopping Center Sold, Townhouses Planned

The sale means plans for a mixed-use development will change to a townhouse development, according to a media report.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Redevelopment plans for part of a West Falls Church shopping center will change after a sale.

Washington Business Journal reports Federal Realty Investment Trust sold the western part of the Graham Park Plaza shopping center to EYA. Federal Realty Investment Trust had plans to turn that portion into a mixed-use development, but EYA will pursue a townhouse development.

For the eastern part that includes businesses like Giant Food and Celebrity Delly, an upgraded look is planned by Federal Realty Investment Trust.
