Pedestrian Crossing Arlington Boulevard Dies In West Falls Church
A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Arlington Boulevard, according to Fairfax County Police.

WEST FALLS CHURCH, VA — A pedestrian was killed in a crash on Arlington Boulevard Sunday night, according to Fairfax County Police.
The crash happened at Arlington Boulevard at Allen Street, where there are traffic signals and a pedestrian crossing with a signal. According to police, the pedestrian was crossing Arlington Boulevard against the pedestrian signal from north to south. A 2010 Toyota Prius heading eastbound on Arlington Boulevard on a green light struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. He was identified as MD Kamrul Hassan, 66, of Falls Church.

This was the 20th pedestrian fatality in Fairfax County this year, compared to 11 by this time in 2021. Police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash for the driver. The driver remained on the scene of the crash.
