Pedestrian Dies In Seven Corners Crash, County's First Of 2023
A pedestrian at a Seven Corners intersection was killed in what was Fairfax County's first pedestrian fatality of the year.

SEVEN CORNERS, VA — A pedestrian died in a crash in Seven Corners Friday morning, according to Fairfax County Police.
The crash happened around 6:18 a.m. at Wilson Boulevard and John Marshall Drive in Seven Corners. Detectives determined the pedestrian was trying to cross Wilson Boulevard in an unknown direction in or near the pedestrian crossing. A westbound 2003 Honda Accord on Wilson Boulevard had been traveling through the intersection and struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, Julia Acosta De Ostorga, 58, of Falls Church, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The driver remained on scene of the crash. Police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors for the driver.
This was Fairfax County's first pedestrian fatality of 2023. To date in 2022, there were already four pedestrian fatalities.
