Pedestrian Killed In West Falls Church Crash

A car struck a woman walking outside the crosswalk early Monday, Fairfax County Police say.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—Fairfax County Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed in a West Falls Church crash early Monday morning.

Around 2 a.m., a woman was crossing Arlington Boulevard near Graham Road when a westbound car struck her. She was outside the crosswalk, according to police.

The driver stayed on scene to cooperate with the investigation. Police do not believe speed or alcohol contributed to the crash for the driver, but detectives are looking into if the victim had alcohol. No charges are expected.

Police have not publicly identified the victim, a 36-year-old woman, at this time. Next of kin are being notified.
