Popular Restaurant Gets Designated Parking In Falls Church

Northside Social did not have its own parking spaces, leaving customers to scramble for other options.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—Northside Social, a popular new restaurant in Falls Church, has announced it acquired 10 parking spaces for customers.

The spots are located in the Park Towers parking lot across from Northside Social at Park and Maple Avenues. Nine of the spots are along Park Avenue facing the restaurant. The 10th spot is in the corner facing Sylvan Learning Center at 200 Park Avenue. Scroll down to see a photo of the parking space location.

The restaurant says in a Facebook post temporary signage is up. Permanent signage will be up in the coming weeks.

Northside Social opened this past June. It had one required handicapped parking spot but not designated parking as a similarly-sized business might have, Falls Church News-Press reported.

Before Northside Social had designated parking, customers were asked to park in public parking spaces. The city has public parking spaces in the CVS parking lot across from Northside Social, among on-street parking locations. There is a parking lot next to Northside Social, but it is private parking for another nearby building.

On the other hand, customers parking in private lots led to a spike in towing, Falls Church News-Press previously reported. Signage saying "no Northside Social parking" has appeared in parking lots of nearby businesses.
