Falls Church City Hall Reopening Set For April 23

Many services will move back to City Hall on April 23, the city announced.

After over a year of renovations, City Hall is set to reopen in Falls Church on Tuesday, April 23. City Hall is located at 300 Park Avenue.

The temporary City Hall offices at 400 North Washington Street will be open through Thursday, April 18. The offices will be closed on Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22 to accommodate the move. Emergency services will remain open.

In May, Housing and Human Services will move back to City Hall from the current location at Gage House, 401 Great Falls Street. In June, the courts and Court Clerk will move back to City Hall from the current location at the Arlington Courthouse, 1425 North Courthouse Road, Suite 2400, Arlington.

The renovated City Hall has a central public entrance in the front of the building, the west side door with stairs and a wheelchair accessible ramp and the east side door with stairs. All other entrances are closed to the public. Visitor parking is available on the front, side, and back of the building. Other updates include wider hallways, a ramp to the City Council chambers and courtroom, new parking garage for police, sheriff, and courts to use for secured prisoner and weapon transport and updated bathrooms.
