Saturday is National Record Store Day in Falls Church
Support your local Falls Church record store on Saturday and you may find a record that isn't sold anywhere else.

FALLS CHURCH, VA -- National Record Store Day is something music lovers count down the days to all year. The annual event falls on Saturday, April 22 this year and is a rare occasion to check out special items that aren't sold anywhere else--and support local business.
Whether you are a zealous vinyl collector or want a CD to play in your car, log off Amazon and head to your local record store on Saturday. In Falls Church CD Cellar and Cafe Kindred are participating in the National Record Store Day festivities.
CD Cellar, a record store located at 105 Park Avenue, has a long list of titles it will be featuring on Saturday. The store has thousands of items to parse through and will be open early Saturday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. For more information, visit CD Cellar's website or Facebook event page.

Down the road, Cafe Kindred and Townshend Bar (450 N. Washington St. Suite F) is celebrating all weekend. The popular local hangout is raising money Saturday through coffee and pastry sales for Homestretch, a Falls Church program to get housing for the homeless. The business is also celebrating its two-year anniversary Sunday with special discounts on coffee and desserts 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Plus, the store's live music and impressive vinyl collection is an added bonus.
