Update: Search for Human Remains In Park To Resume Thursday
No human remains were found in one local park, while the search will resume Thursday in Holmes Run, say Fairfax County Police.

(Updated at 5:25 p.m.) FALLS CHURCH, VA — Detectives with search dogs combed through two parks in the Falls Church area for human remains on Wednesday as part of an investigation into gang activity, the Fairfax County police announced via Twitter. One search turned up empty, while the search in the other park was suspended until Thursday.
The detectives completed their search at Lemon Road Park, "and they no longer believe any remains were buried there," the police said. The park is off Leesburg Pike (Route 7) north of Interstate 66.
The search in Holmes Run Stream Valley Park, near the 6000 block of Crater Place in the Lincolnia area, was temporarily suspended overnight and will resume early Thursday, the police said.
