SEVEN CORNERS, VA — An affordable senior independent living project will advance after a key approval by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.

Affordable housing developer Wesley Housing plans to build 95 affordable independent senior living units at 6165 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA. The property is adjacent to First Christian Church, which is partnering with the developer.

This is the first faith-based partnership for affordable housing in Fairfax County. A similar project from Wesley Housing in Alexandria, the Waypoint at Fairlington, opened in 2022 on Fairlington Presbyterian Church's property.

The development will also include a free health clinic offering free primary care to the low-income residents in the senior living units as well as the surrounding community at limited to no cost.

With the approval of zoning entitlements by the board, Wesley Housing's development team will seek financing sources and continue community engagement with the surrounding neighborhood.
