Six Hit And Runs Reported In Four Days: Falls Church Police

Six hit and runs were reported within four days in Falls Church and more in the weekly crime report.

FALLS CHURCH, VA -- Six hit and runs were reported within four days during the week of May 22 to 28, according to Falls Church police. Four of the incidents occurred on Monday, May 22.

The hit and runs are as follows:

May 22 - 300 block W Broad St: A vehicle parked Sat, May 20, between 10 a.m. and noon, was hit by another vehicle that left the scene.

May 22 - S Washington St/Tinners Hill St: A victim reported driver of a striking vehicle refused to give information. The investigation continues.

May 22 - 400 block S Maple Ave: A vehicle parked May 20 between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. was hit by a vehicle that left the scene.

May 22 - 311 Park Ave, (parking lot): A parked, occupied vehicle was struck by another vehicle that failed to stop. The investigation continues.

May 24 - 410 S Maple Ave (Pearson Sq.): A vehicle entered the garage with items attached to its roof and broke a sprinkler head and left the scene. The fire department responded and shut off the water and fire alarm. Several businesses were damaged. Te suspect was contacted and agreed to provide all necessary information to the property manager. The investigation continues.

May 25 - 6757 Wilson Blvd (Eden Center): A parked vehicle was struck by another vehicle between 11:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The vehicle then left the scene.

Other incidents in the weekly City of Falls Church weekly crime report are:

Assault – Simple, 6795 Wilson Blvd (Eden Center), May 22, officers responded to a fight call, possibly involving a knife. Suspects had left the scene before officers arrived. Victim stated he would not be able to identify his assailants and he did not wish to prosecute. Investigation continues.

Assault- Simple Domestic, 200 blk Buxton Rd, May 22, Christopher Lynn Gardner was arrested for assaulting a family member.

Assault – Simple, 124 N Washington St (Argia’s), May 23, officers responded for a report of a verbal confrontation that escalated into an assault. Suspect had left the scene before officers arrived. Investigation continues.

Fraud-False Pretense/Swindle, 1000 blk W Broad St, May 25, two male subjects were reported to be selling defective electronic equipment out of a dark-colored minivan.
