Son Shoots Mother, Self In Seven Corners; Both Recovering: Police

Police say a son and mother were taken to the hospital after the son shot both in Seven Corners Thursday.

SEVEN CORNERS, VA — A son shot his mother and himself Thursday in Seven Corners, but Fairfax County Police say injuries were not fatal.

The domestic shooting happened at an apartment in the 6000 block of Arlington Boulevard, police reported Thursday evening. Both went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but they later improved to non-life-threatening injuries.

Police do not believe there is a threat to the public. The son and mother remain in the hospital.
