Sunset Cinema Planned In Falls Church, Input On Movies Wanted
Residents are encouraged to vote for movie selections for the Sunset Cinema series starting in September.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Outdoor movies will return to Falls Church's Cherry Hill Park this fall, and the city wants input on movie choices.
Sunset Cinema will be held on three dates this fall — Friday, Sept. 23, Friday, Sept. 30 and Friday, Oct. 7. The first movie on Sept. 23 will be "Encanto" sponsored by Welcoming Falls Church, an organization supporting refugees and immigrants.
The next two movies will be decided by a public vote. The choices for Sept. 30 are "Sing 2," "Hotel Transylvania," "Despicable Me," "Inside Out" and "Luca."

Choices for Oct. 7 are "Hoosiers," "The Goonies," "Top Gun" and "Wizard of Oz."
A survey is available to choose movies for Sept. 30 and Oct. 7 as well as share movie suggestions for next year.

The Sunset Cinema series is presented by the city's Recreation and Parks Department. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic to the event. Drinks, popcorn and snacks will be available for purchase, and a food truck may be scheduled to attend.
Cherry Hill Park is located at 312 Park Avenue. In the case of inclement weather, the screening would be moved to the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls Street.
