No Explosives Found In Falls Church Bomb Threat Report
Falls Church police found no signs of a bomb threat in an office building Thursday afternoon.

(Updated 3:34 p.m. Thursday) FALLS CHURCH, VA -- Police found no explosives in a Falls Church commercial building at 900 S. Washington Street after a bomb threat was reported Thursday afternoon. Police and fire officials investigated a suspicious incident at the same location in the morning.
An all-clear was given at 2:30 p.m. Police did a sweep of the building with assistance from Arlington County and Virginia State Police bomb-detecting K-9 units and the Arlington County Fire Department.
Around 12:30 p.m. police were called to the building, which houses an abortion clinic. A witness found two sheets of paper with the word "bomb" written on both at an entrance of the building. The building was evacuated and no one was injured.

Falls Church Police and fire unit, and the Arlington County and Fairfax County fire departments first investigated the building Thursday morning. Around 9 a.m., they responded to reports of smoke and a noise like an explosion. Fire investigators found exploded fireworks in an elevator. The City of Falls Church Fire Marshal said the building was clear to reopen at 9:30 a.m. The building was evacuated and no one was injured.

Westbound Washington Street was temporarily closed between West Cameron Road to George Mason Drive due to police activity.
