Tinner Hill Music Festival Returns For 27th Year In Falls Church
Music, vendors, food and other entertainment will descend upon Cherry Hill Park for this Falls Church tradition.
FALLS CHURCH, VA — The tradition of the Tinner Hill Music Festival carries on for a 27th year in 2021. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 21 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Cherry Hill Park. This will be a ticketed event.
The festival celebrates the legacy of African American music and the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation, a nonprofit seeking to preserve civil rights history in Northern Virginia. Tinner Hill refers to the location where the first rural branch of the National Association for the Protection of Colored People (NAACP) was founded.
A full lineup of performers will provide a day of entertainment at the festival. Performers include B.B. King Blues Band ft. Michael Lee of "The Voice," The Legendary Wailers featuring Julian "Junior" Marvin, Bonerama, Vintage #18, Twin Brothers Band, Eric Scott, East of the River Steelband, and Rocknoceros.

The lineup, subject to change, is as follows:
11:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m. - Rocknoceros (Kids)
12 p.m.-12:25 p.m. - East of the River Steel Pan Band
12:30 p.m.-1 p.m. - Eric Scott (duo)
1:15 p.m.-2 p.m. - Twin Brothers Band
2:15 p.m.-3:15 p.m. - Vintage #18
3:45 p.m.-5 p.m. - The Legendary Wailers ft. Junior Marvin
5:15 p.m.-6:45 p.m. - Bonerama
7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. - BB King Blues Band ft. Michael Lee of The Voice

Musical performances will be complemented by activities and vendors throughout the park. Food vendors with barbecue, kid-friendly foods, vegetarian options and more will be Anita’s Frozen Cotton Candy, Liberty Barbecue, Clare and Don’s, Mark’s Pub, and ROCK STAR Bar.
A relaxation village with yoga, massages, hammocks and more will be led by Functional Fitness and Karma Yoga and Wellness. Children's activities will include water play, a musical petting zoo, face painting, and more. Local painters, photographers, and jewelers will host an artists village, with participants like Belle Bonne Jewelry, FrontYard Farm, K’Owino Batiks, Native Swell, and Rajendra KC.
