Tom Perriello To Host Falls Church Town Hall: Virginia Governor's Race

Residents in the Falls Church area will have a chance to attend a town hall with Democratic candidate for governor Tom Perriello.

FALLS CHURCH, VA -- Tom Perriello, one of two Democratic candidates running for governor of Virginia, is holding a town hall Thursday in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County.

The town hall will be at Providence Recreation Center (7525 Marc Dr, Falls Church). Doors open for the event at 8 p.m.

According to the campaign, Perriello will outline his plans to support Virginia residents. Since announcing his campaign, he has visited more than 50 counties and independent cities.

Perriello had met with immigration advocates in Falls Church during January. He has also spoken recently in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County at the site of an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement raid.

Perriello, a former one-term Congressman, is running against Lieutenant Gov. Ralph Northam. Gov. Terry McAuliffe is barred from serving consecutive terms according to Virginia law.

On the Republican side, the candidates are former Republican National Committee Chair Ed Gillespie, Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chair Corey Stewart and State Sen. Frank Wagner. The primary is June 13.
