Virginia Academy Girl's Basketball Team Supports Got Sneakers Campaign

A WINNING TEAM

Assistance League of Northern Virginia wants to recognize the Girls Varsity Basketball Team at Virginia Academy, Ashburn, for collecting more than 100 pairs of athletic shoes and donating them to the nonprofit for its Got-Sneakers fundraising campaign. Even more impressive is that the Team collected the shoes while practicing for the post-season playoffs. That practice really paid off! The Team recently became State Champions by winning the Virginia Independent Athletic Association Division II final game. Congratulations on the big win and for taking time to help others less fortunate in the community. These young women will go far.
