Voting Open For Vehicle Decal Design Contest

The city of Falls Church would like to remind residents to vote for their favorite vehicle decal until February 9 at 11:45 A.M.

From The City of Falls Church: Voting is now open for the Vehicle Decal Design Contest, sponsored by the City of Falls Church Treasurer. Voting closes at 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, February 9 and is open via SurveyMonkey at www.fallschurchva.gov/VoteDecal.

"All the designs this year were fantastic," said Treasurer Jody Acosta. "I'm very excited. We had almost twice the submissions this year as last year! The students did a great job and love a chance to have their artwork displayed on 13,000 vehicles.

"Voting is open to City residents and employees including police, firefighters, library staff, government employees, teachers and other school employees. The winner will be announced at the City Council Meeting on Monday, February 13, which starts at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers (City Hall, 300 Park Ave.).

Twenty area high school students submitted designs to the City of Falls Church Treasurer. Only one design per student was allowed. A citizen panel decided on the top four designs that best reflected the City community. Cash prizes will be awarded to the four finalists.
