Ways To Support Falls Church Businesses During Coronavirus Impact

With a "stay at home" order taking effect in Virginia, residents can support Falls Church businesses through relief funds, takeout and more.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — After Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam issued a statewide "stay at home" order Monday, there are still a number of ways to support Falls Church's businesses. Residents are asked to stay at home, although there are exceptions such as obtaining food. Restaurants can continue operating with takeout and delivery only as specified in Notham's previous executive order.

The Virginia Tourism Corporation and Virginia Restaurant, Lodging, and Travel Association is rallying support for restaurants with Restaurant Lovers Takeout Week from Monday, March 30 to Sunday, April 5. Customers are encouraged to order takeout, delivery, or curbside pickup from restaurants throughout the week. The City of Falls Church has compiled a list of restaurants that have takeout or delivery.

Falls Church Farmers Market customers can continue to support vendors through pre-orders. The farmers market is allowed to operate Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon with preordered take-out only and up to 10 customers at a time.
