Weather Impacts Continue Jan. 5 At Falls Church Public Schools
Falls Church City Public Schools will be opening Wednesday with a two-hour delay.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Falls Church City Public Schools will be opening Wednesday with a two-hour delay, the school system said.
The school system's day care program will open at 9 a.m., but there will be no drop-ins.
A winter storm dumped several inches of snow on Falls Church and the region on Monday.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a chance of light freezing rain or drizzle Wednesday morning. This could leave what the NWS describes as "a light glaze of ice accumulation" on area roads and sidewalks.
The NWS warned motorists they may encounter significant delays Wednesday if the freezing rain materializes during the morning rush hour.
