Dedicated members of Assistance League of Northern Virginia joined employees of Dominion Energy and friends from Sandy Spring Bank and RBH Global Wealth to pack bags of nonperishable food for delivery to six schools in Fairfax and Prince William counties this month. In just over an hour, thanks in part to the lively background music that accompanies this effort, the volunteers packed 1680 bags of food and delivered them to the schools the same day. A seventh school received grocery gift cards.

This month’s food deliveries were enhanced by Dominion’s donation of disinfecting wipes. Dominion Energy, a long-time supporter of Assistance League of Northern Virginia and its Weekend Food for Kids program, donated 126 containers of the wipes that were provided to the schools. All the school contacts greatly appreciated receiving the disinfectants. One school administrator who happened to be using a wipe to disinfect a desk when the deliveries were made remarked: “We use a lot of those wipes every day. Thank you very much.”

Assistance League is very grateful to partner with many caring people and organizations to do so much good in the community. To learn more about Assistance League visit www.alnv.org
