The Battle of Broad Street featured a friendly food competition between Neighborhood Barbershop and Mister Finster's Tattoo Studio.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — A victor was named Wednesday in the Battle of Broad Street, a friendly food competition between two Falls Church businesses.
The event featured staff at Neighborhood Barbershop and Mister Finster's Tattoo Studio competing to sell out their food creations first between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday. Harvey's, the restaurant that hosted the Battle of Broad Street, said the winner was Jay of Neighborhood Barbershop for selling out his bacon-wrapped poblano pepper first.
The winner not only wins bragging rights, but the winning dish will be featured on Harvey's menu for one month.

Will of Neighborhood Barbershop sold out of his cheeseburger sushi last. The losing competitor has to get an image of the winning dish, the bacon-wrapped poblano, in a permanent tattoo by Mister Finster's Tattoo Studio.
Perhaps the true winner of the competition was the Falls Church Education Foundation, which received $1 from every $10 dish purchased from Battle on Broad Street. In addition, $1 from each bacon-wrapped poblano pepper sold in the next month will go toward the foundation. The donation will be provided to the foundation at the end of August in the winner's name. The Falls Church Education Foundation raises supplemental funds to support Falls Church City Public Schools.
