Missing Woman In Shenandoah National Park Is Found, Safe

A woman who was reported missing in Shenandoah National Park has been found and is safe.

WAYNESBORO, VA — A 32-year-old woman who was reported missing in Shenandoah National Park has been found and is safe, according to officials.

The woman, who had been missing since Christmas Eve, was last seen hiking north on the Appalachian Trail from McCormick Gap on Dec. 24.

McCormick Gap is near Waynesboro, about 2.5 miles north of the southernmost entrance to Shenandoah National Park off of Interstate 64.
