Wrong-Way Vehicle Hits Another Head-On In Capital Beltway Express Lanes: Police
A driver is dead after her vehicle heading the wrong way struck another car head-on in the Express Lanes over the weekend.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — One driver is dead and another was injured in a wrong-way crash on the Capital Beltway Express Lanes Saturday, Virginia State Police say.
The crash happened around 2:07 a.m. Saturday in the I-495 Express Lanes at the 51 mile marker, which is in the area of the Gallows Road exit. According to state police, 2013 Toyota Prius heading south in the northbound Express Lanes struck a northbound 2018 Chevrolet Cruze head-on. The crash impact caused the Toyota to spin around and go off the left side of the highway and strike a cement wall.
The driver of the Toyota, Annette M. Ozaltin, 44, of McLean, was taken to the hospital and died of her injuries later that morning. Police say she was wearing a seatbelt.
