1 Dead, 3 Seriously Injured In Crash On I-95 In Spotsylvania County: Police
One person was killed and three other people were seriously injured in a crash on I-95 in Spotsylvania County on Wednesday, police said.
SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — One person was killed and three others were seriously injured in a crash on I-95 in Spotsylvania County on Wednesday morning, according to state police. Authorities said the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of the highway.
The crash occurred at 5:11 a.m. on Wednesday, Virginia State Police said in a news release. The crash involved four different vehicles near mile marker 118.
"A sedan was traveling south on I-95 when it ran off the left side of the roadway, collided with a guardrail, continued across all three travel lanes, off of the right side of the roadway, and collided with a tractor-trailer that was parked on the shoulder," Virginia State Police said in their news release. "The sedan came to rest in the right travel lane and was struck by two additional southbound tractor-trailers."

One fatality has been confirmed so far, and at least three other people were seriously injured, police said. Authorities have not publicly identified the person who died in the crash.
