9 Cars Broken Into, 1 Stolen in Fredericksburg Area This Week
Investigations are ongoing in all cases, according to the Fredericksburg City Police.

To keep safe from petty theft, residents in the Fredericksburg area should keep their car doors locked. A string of thefts from cars have been reported to Fredericksburg police this week.
Police haven’t made connections in the crimes and do not know if they were committed by one or more people.
On the 2100 block of Cowan Boulevard, a witness reported that a man rummaged through his mother’s car around 5:20 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14. The suspect is of unknown race with a slight build and was wearing a black hoodie and khaki pants.

Four people who live on the 100 block of Woodland Road reported an unknown person entered their unlocked cars between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14. The thief took loose change and other items of value. One resident reported a stolen vehicle: a 2014 bronze Nissan Altima.
At 7:55 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 on the 2300 block of Cowan Boulevard, a resident reported someone took DVDs and a small amount of cash from her unlocked vehicle. The crime could have happened Friday, Nov. 14.

On the 2100 block of Cowan Boulevard, either Thursday, Nov. 13 or Friday, Nov. 14, a man reported an unknown person took loose change from two of his cars.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 a witness saw a black male wearing a stocking cap, black hoodie and jeans enter two vehicles parked in a municipal lot on the 900 block of Sophia St. The suspect attempted to enter a third car, but found it locked and left.
