A deputy was traveling near Garrisonville Road and Richmond Highway around 10:25 p.m. Sunday when authorities said he saw a woman walking along the fog line of the roadway.
The deputy stopped to check on the woman and observed signs of impairment, including an odor of alcohol, the Sheriff's Office said.
The woman was identified as Sharney Stewart, 26, of Woodbridge.
When the deputy informed Stewart she was under arrest, she resisted, according to the Sheriff's Office.
